Winners of MEP Middle East Awards 2014

A week ago, in Dubai’s Sofitel Te Palm Resort and Spa, the winners of MEP Middle East Awards were announced.

The major winner of these awards is ETA Engineering. This company got two awards, one for Contractor of the year and other for GCC project of the year. Consultant WSP also won two awards. These two awards are for the Electrical project of the year and the MEP Executive of the year. Atlaaqa group also bagged two awards, which are health and safety initiative of the year and specialist contractor of the year.

KEO International Consultant also won MEP consultant of the year award. It was the first time in eight years history of MEP awards that Atkins looses this award, although it was nominated. Griffin Consultants made it possible to win the Boutique Consultant of the Year Award.

MEP 2014 Award Winner

Rahul Ramakrishan, from Trans Gulf Electromechanical won the individual award for the project manager of the year. Another individual award has gone to Menna Dessouki from BuroHappold Engineering for the young engineer of the year. Stephen Clough from Black & White Engineering won the award for electrical engineer of the year whereas the Mechanical engineer of the year award has gone to Nic Byczynski from Hyder Consulting.

A panel of 12 independent judges who are industry professionals throughout the construction sector and GCC had voted for the awards. Platinum sponsor for the event was du. Veissmann, gold sponsor was Elemec, whereas silver sponsors of the awards were ALEMCO, Amtech and Leminar Air Conditioning.
