Bird Friendly Mirror-Clad Holiday Homes Designed By Peter Pichler

The mirror house designed by Peter Pichler has been added with UV film that is supposed to reduce glare. This is supposed to help to prevent the birds from colliding with highly reflective faces. Adjoining guesthouses which feature mirror clad west surfaces are located on farm outside the north eastern city of Italy, Bolzano. These homes are designed such that they reflect the mountains which surround the landscapes.

The design of mirror clad homes is modern and based on the requirements of 21st century. It is also made to protect the biodiversity as it avert the gaze and other animals preventing them to believe it as open landscape.

The mirror wall of these houses is coated with films that are specially designed to reduce glare as well as UV light. This reduces the chances for birds to get the reflection of open space mistakenly. It appears that these modern structures float on a base that is above the ground level. The units are separated visually by slightly amazing height and alignment.
