GRDSLAB is developed by Mr. Alex Tomanovich which is a spreadsheet-based program powered by MS-Excel. The Spreadsheet program can be used for evaluating the concrete slabs on grade. Mainly, a concrete slab on its grade is based on concentrated post or wheel loading.
The above said Spreadsheet construction program process examine the slab flexural, bearing, and shear stresses; calculating the crack width. It also states the minimum required distribution reinforcing as well as checks the bearing stress on the dowels at construction joints for the specified parameters.
A supplementary method for examining and defining the necessary slab thickness for flexure is used along with the designed chart provided by Portland Cement Association (PCA).
Calculating the capacity of a slab on grade is dependent on the arrangement of stationary, continuous wall (line-type) load and live loads distribution uniformly.

The program is based on the following theorem:-
Spreadsheet “Slab on Grade” supposes a structurally unreinforced slab and ACI-360″Type B” strengthen only for shrinkage and temperature and interior Load is assumed for flexural analysis. This means wheel Load or concentrated post is accepted to be well far from a “free” slab edge or corner.
In the Westergaard analysis model, some of the more crucial and refining assumptions are provided.
