The surging Architecture Billing Index – Signs of a Boom?

As per the billing index published AIA( American Institute of Architects) the construction industry is facing an all time boom for the first time in the last seven years .The reasons attributed to this is the recovering economy .

 

Construction firms which have an expertise in the construction of multiple projects ranging from residential to business topped the list. Firms which are solely into residential projects, institutions, commercial or industrial construction also fared better.

 

This is a welcome relief for the numerous architecture firms whose billings for design projects have steadily increased .Since the recession, the funding for many of the commercial projects has been curtailed.

 

The key focus in the future is to strengthen the staff and to retain the experts. This could only mean that the best is yet to come and design firms can brace themselves for a challenging and exciting time ahead. The focus will be on growing revenues and improved productivity.

The architecture firms in their bid to retain the best talent are also promoting new talent to provide a refreshing change in the designs of key projects.
