Differential Leveling Survey - Field Notes (Paper Exercise)
Learn what changes in the field notes when you perform a profile leveling?
A backsight on a turning point is used to continue a survey beyond the starting instrument position. The word "backsight" has nothing to do with the direction in which the instrument is pointed. It is important to remember that there is only one backsight for each setup of the instrument.
A turning pint (TP) is a temporary bench mark that is used to extend the survey a greater distance. They are used anytime it is necessary to move the instrument.
